Our recipe for satisfaction is actually quite simple. A group tells us what they’re looking for, and we assign one of our experienced event planners to work with them. In addition to being attentive listeners, our event planners know what areas and activities best suit the form, function and attendees of the event. They know what’s available, what’s possible, how much things cost, and how to get the best value for any budget.    

And then it’s just a matter of putting all the elements of a great rainforest experience together.

Accommodations – The Belize Rainforest Retreat features ten Eco-Pods – small comfortable cabins raised above the jungle floor, each with private hammock-hung porches and supplied with fresh linens and towels.

The Palapa – is a for meeting, dining and socialising. Situated near the well-stocked pantry and kitchen where Doña Francelia and her helpers prepare meals that have become legendary, the thatch-roofed and airy palapa blends in with the jungle ambience. It’s a great place to begin the day with hearty Belizean breakfasts, and enjoy dinners, drinks, barbecues and conversations at day’s end. 

Conveniences – Environmentally-friendly bathrooms and showers are scrupulously maintained.

Getting around – a scenic path connects the Belize Rainforest Retreat with the main Lodge at Chaa Creek via a picturesque 15-minute stroll above the Macal River, and is part of the network of trails crisscrossing our 400-acre private nature reserve. For aquatic adventures, the Retreat’s canoe landing is just down the hill from the palapa.
